To glue rhinestones to shoes, you will need to use an adhesive with a very strong bond. E6000 is generally recommended for gluing rhinestones to shoes. However, if you choose to use a less expensive rhinestone such as acrylic, you need to find a different glue. E6000 is not recommended for use with these rhinestones. How to glue rhinestones to shoes
Once you decide on rhinestones and glue, the next most important aspect is how to glue. Many beginners will use too little glue and therefore, the rhinestones will peel and fall off. When gluing rhinestones, it is very important that the glue seeps slightly out from the edges. The produces a seal to keep the rhinestone in place. Generally, rhinestones adhesives dry clear, so once the glue dries, you won’t see it.
Whichever glue you decide to use, always follow the glue manufacturer’s instructions for best results.
