What does the “ss” in rhinestones sizing mean?
Many years ago, when there were naturally occurring rhinestones, collectors sorted them by “stone size”. Today, manufacturers still use the same sizing for rhinestones usually following the corresponding millimeter size. For your convenience, here are the ss sizes with their comparable millimeter size:
ss mm ss mm ss mm
3 1.4 8 2.35 20 4.7
4 1.6 9 2.65 30 6.41
5 1.8 10 2.85 34 7.17
6 2.0 12 3.1 40 8.54
7 2.15 16 3.9 48 11.11
Why is the pricing so different among manufacturers?
Manufactures use different materials, colors, shapes, and number of facets to craft their product. All these factors affect rhinestone pricing.
Which brands of rhinestones do you sell?
Primarily, we sell Swarovski, the premier name in rhinestones. Additionally, we sell PricesLess Rhinestones, a grade AAA genuine crystal rhinestone. Moreover, we sell Swarovski half-back pearls, metal trim, and nailheads. We’re continually upgrading and changing our stock, so check back often.
