Need a small gift for someone but you want something special? Looking for unique wedding favors? For today’s project you need: Glass candle holder Gem Tac adhesive 12ss Rhinestones - approximately 95 (for this project I used Price Less brand) Tweezers or Pick n Stick tool Make sure the surface of your votive is clean. For this project, I used Price Less brand of rhinestones. Normally I am a Swarovski only girl, but for keeping the cost down on some projects, I really like the Price Less brand. It is AAA crystal (the highest grade in the industry) and priced about 33% less than Swarovski. The pattern I used here is a simple scattered pattern. It really makes no difference how you place the rhinestones, be creative! Begin by placing a drop of glue on the votive. Using the Pick n Stick tool or tweezers, pick up a rhinestone and place it in the glue drop. Gently press the rhinestones down allowing the glue to cover the edges of the rhinestone. Gem Tac dries clear so do not worry if you accidentally use too much glue. Continue adding rhinestones until you are happy with the coverage. Allow to dry for 24 hours. When you are finished, you have a beautiful, sparkly creation ready for gift giving!

DIY Christmas Ornament This is an elegant, easy to make Christmas ornament that cost less than $5 to make. You will need: 2 oz. Sculpey Clay in pearl Piece of white lace Swarovski flat back white pearls 16ss tweezer or wax tipped tool poker tool or sharpened pencil Sobo glue Jute twine Begin by rolling out the Sculpey Clay to ¼ of an inch thickness(a soup can works well). When the clay is the correct thickness, cut out your shape using a cookie cutter or template. If using cookie cutters, save for use with clay only. With either a poker tool or sharpened pencil, make a hole near the top of your ornament large enough to be able to thread the jute twine through. Line a cookie sheet with plain white paper. Place your ornament on the white paper and bake in a preheated 275 degree oven for 15 minutes. When done baking, remove from the oven and allow to cool. Once your ornament is cool, you can glue a piece of lace across the front using Sobo brand glue. Once the glue is dry on your lace, place a drop of glue large enough so that the glue will cover the edges of the pearl. Using a tweezer or wax tipped tool, place a pearl on the drop of glue and gently press down. Allow to dry. Finally, thread a piece of jute twine through your hole and your ornament is finished. Great for gift giving or for decorating your own tree.
Swarovski Flat back pearls are available from: www.RhinestonesEtc.com Want to go from plain to jazzy for under $10? I took this Target brand tank top on sale for $6 and added 6 crystal size 12ss rhinestones,4 silver 7mm square metal studs and 44 silver round 4mm metal studs. Total cost of embellishments: $1.00 First, I decided on a design and laid it out on the tank top. Once I was satisfied with my layout, I took my hot fix tool with the metal studs attachment, and adhered each metal stud (you can also use a iron) to the shirt. Finally, using Gem Tac (any fabric glue that works with embellishments will do), I glued on the flat back crystals. And viola! A special top for your next night on the town.
